Kuća Begović

A mountain retreat in Kolašin, a growing regional mountain centre. On the edge of the town, the setting is quiet and ideal for rest and family life. The client wanted a place for family gatherings where everyone has their own room around one large shared living space.

It is also a fully fledged family home for permanent use, with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large living room with dining area and kitchen.

The house is organised vertically: bedrooms on two attic levels, living spaces on the ground floor opening to a large garden. A single straight stair overcomes the 5.5 m level difference from the street, revealing the whole house on approach. The street front is intimate, with minimal openings.

Rough, rustic stone and timber clad the façade. The garden façade is almost fully glazed under a 3 m cantilevered canopy that follows the roofline; the simple roof in black standing-seam metal defines the house.
