Taraš

A commercial building in the centre of Danilovgrad with a strongly sculptural, introverted architecture, from the façades to the roof. The materials split it into a white and a dark mass: the dark evokes Montenegrin karst, the white its contemporary counterpart.

The white mass appears to sit on its stone chair, facing the square. The façade looks solid, with few openings, but fine horizontal divisions and perforation lighten it, so it reads as a natural continuation of the square.
