Concept
A collective housing building with 75 units of different types, from studios to three-bedroom apartments. The shape of the site and its micro-urban context set the building along an east–west axis.
The seemingly unfavourable north orientation is solved by stepping parts of the façade out of plane and turning them toward the sun; the angled walls also shield against the prevailing winds. Light and shadow, light and dark tones add further movement.
The building grows out of the surrounding landscape as its continuation, and greenery continues from the ground onto the façade.
